Iran has offered 'snap' inspections of nuclear sites:

For Iran to offer snap inspections if the matter is removed from the UNSC and returned to the
IAEA (which after all is the proper forum!) is very clever tactics.
Iran should also tirelessly remind the world that, in order to be taken seriously, it should be
equally worried about the nuclear programme of Israel (and others) and that the NPT was
meant, over time, to phase out ALL nuclear weapons, but that is now long and conveniently
but hypocritically forgotten.

Iran, say NO to "Nuclear Apartheid", insist on your inalienable right to nuclear technology and,
if forced to by the paranoid antics of America, withdraw from the NPT, maybe even from the
IAEA too, and get on with it!! Should you decide at some stage in the future to make a few
bombs, if anything, that part of the world would be more balanced and therefore inherently safer.
I have said it before but will say it again: HANDS OFF IRAN!!

On the latest tape from al-Qaeda's Ayman al-Zawahiri:

Contrary to what many still believe, people like Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri
are most definitely NOT "primitives" or "sub-humans" but intelligent educated articulate men
who express themselves with great clarity, consistency and conviction and their views are at
least as valid as those of the collective West (count me out!). The tragedy is that the West is
encroaching on their parts of the world and then blames these people when they resist in
whatever ways they can.

Something al-Zawahiri said after the London bombings is now one of my favourite quotes:
"It is a sip from the glass that Muslims have been drinking from". Well said!

The tape also, predictably, praised the insurgency in Iraq.
However much I wish the Iraqi people well, I cannot see anything lasting and positive
resulting from the West's barbaric venture in Iraq.
Oh yes, I see one glimmer of hope: even America can only do so much for so long,
maybe the Great Satan will slowly bleed into retreat!!

The projected cost to America of the Iraq war now exceeds that of the Vietnam war:

Finally some good news! The sooner the perpetrators of these barbaric imperialistic ventures
run out of money the better, for their victims, for world peace and also for themselves, could
they only see it! Is there hope now that Middle Americans will come out in their millions to
simply say NO to the War Criminals running the Greatest Show on Earth?
Except for the Military Industrial Complex, most real american jobs have probably by now been
'outsourced' to communist-capitalist China!

But of course the real cost of all this is not financial but human: I don't know about you but
I cannot watch any more news reports about real people killed or maimed, relatives hysterical
with grief, terrified children at a complete loss...

America, go home, go to Hell and STAY THERE, being the Great Satan that is where you
belong and I am optimistic that you are well on the way to that destination!

America has signed a 10-year deal with Bulgaria for the joint use of
3 bases there (similar to an agreement already signed with Romania):

"This agreement will add value to Bulgaria's strategic security because it increases the
commitment of the United States to the security of the country"
"We think that in the economy, the joint use of these military facilities will lead to an increase
in the confidence in our country on behalf of investors and improve the general investment
climate in our country" (Dimitar Tsanchev, Bulgarian foreign ministry).

Oh the folly of those statements! Bulgaria, you are only allowing yourself to be used by
America and when no longer useful you, like so many other countries before you, will be
simply abandoned or stabbed in the back.
Worse, by aligning yourself in this very practical and specifically military way with the US
you will be seen as part of the true AXIS of EVIL and should neither be surprised nor
complain if nasty things were to happen to bulgarian interests worldwide...

The same goes for Romania which already has this kind of agreement with the US.

Like the vast majority of EU citizens I was jubilant when communism collapsed about 15
years ago and I shall warmly welcome both Bulgaria and Romania to the EU next year but
I want to see the EU as the master in its own house -of by then approx 500 million europeans
compared with only 300 million americans!- and I hope that the vast majority of EU citizens
would agree with me on that.

Iran has defied the IAEA and the Security Council (deadline today):

Here we go again: unless and until the world spends the same amount of time and effort
worrying about and investigating the nuclear programme of non-IAEA non-NPT Israel, this
whole witchhunt against Iran is basically NOT about nuclear matters, and thus hypocrisy
which stinks to high heaven.

About Ahmedinejad's comments to "wipe Israel off the map", they are just words.
Israel has by now, by its illegal actions -those 'Facts on the Ground', incredibly tolerated and
paid for by the West- already wiped Palestine off the map! Who are the terrorists, the rogues,
the demons here? Not Iran!

Also, Ali Khamenei stated categorically the other day:
Iran will NOT develop nuclear weapons and Iran will NOT attack NOR invade any other
country. As the Supreme Leader, Khamenei has the final say in all matters in Iran.
Should we believe him? I believe we should, for the simple reason that he does not
ultimately answer to a fickle electorate but to his Creator. (Laugh if you must!).

On Israel's condition that there will be no contacts with the PA unless
Hamas recognizes Israel and on the news of Kadima's coalition partners:

Kadima won the elections (with only 23% of the cast votes in the lowest turnout ever, hardly
a mandate to do anything) promising to violate international law (by setting borders illegally
and unilaterally), Kadima has now apparently persuaded several other parties to join it in
violating international law, all without a word of protest coming from the "civilized world".
If this is democracy in action then we are better off without it!

Hamas, democratically elected, high turnout, absolute majority, has already indicated that,
without formally recognizing Israel, a 30 year truce could be offered were Israel to withdraw
to its 1967 borders. This is a reasonable and pragmatic proposal which asks no more than
what international law has already for decades compelled Israel to do.

Israel now says that Hamas MUST recognize Israel before ANY contacts.
Same old game: Israel will ALWAYS find another excuse!
And why should a thief give up any of his ill-gotten gains unless forced to do so?
In truth, the "civilized world" is much more to blame than Israel!
Who are the real terrorists here? Are you still surprised that there are suicide bombers?
Israel should be forced back to its 1967 borders NOW!! Free Palestine!

Over the last few years I have read all I could find in the public domain of what he has said.
He expresses himself with great clarity and consistency and you cannot fault the logic.....

Jordan has withdrawn its invitation to the Hamas FM after "finding a cache of Hamas arms":

How sad! Until May 1946 Jordan was a part of Palestine and now a democratically elected
minister from occupied Palestine has his invitation to Jordan revoked, at the last minute and
on spurious allegations, no doubt to please America. How sad! If there were free and fair
democratic elections in all Arab countries today, tomorrow we would have anti-Western and
stridently anti-American governments, which would actually represent the people who in turn
surely would be proud and eager to help the palestinians represented by Hamas.
Hurry up please!!

On the successful palestinian suicide mission in Tel Aviv:

"So there, we told you so!" the so-called civilized world will say, "the palestinians are barbarians
and the israelis are the victims, right?".
Wrong! The world, including Israel, should ask itself one simple question: how many attacks
against Israel would there be if Israel did what according to international law, UNSC resolutions
and common decency Israel HAS to do, namely withdraw totally from all the land seized during
the Six Day War in 1967. Hamas has already indicated that if this were to happen, a 30-year
truce could be established, this without Hamas formally recognizing Israel.
To me, that is a very pragmatic proposal which should be pursued vigorously by all parties
involved. But sadly I cannot see it happening for the simple reason that it is not in Israel's
interest to make any concessions, Israel is proving again and again that you can live outside
the law with impunity, that you can indeed 'have your cake and eat it'.
May the Israelis choke on the Palestinian Cake!!

PS Has there ever been any serious suggestion that there should be a UN peace keeping
force in Palestine-Israel? If not, why not?? Of all conflict zones, that is the place where it is
most desperately needed.

I spent many years working and travelling in Islamic countries, I love their culture and
traditions, have profound respect for their religion which inshallah may soon also become
mine and I can tell you that Arabs and Muslims (for most Muslims are not Arabs) are wonderful
people. As for the article in question here, by any definition of the term rogue state, America
and Israel are the roguest states on planet earth, having both indisputably made state terrorism
a way of life. The biggest single improvement that could be made to the UN, and it could be

One simple question please:

In view of (mainly) America's accusations over Iran's nuclear programme and the sabre rattling
rhetoric by both sides, plus the painfully fresh memories of the illegal invasions of Afghanistan
and Iraq, it is surely both reasonable and timely to ask:

Applying the perverse paranoid logic of the Preemptive Strike Justification Doctrine as practised
by America+Israel, why has neither China nor Russia already launched disabling attacks on the
USA?!?
