GW Bush today described Olmert's plans for Israel's borders as "bold":

Having just watched their joint press conference, these are my initial comments:
Those plans are more than bold - they are totally illegal but when did international law interest
the state terrorists of America and Israel? These evil men, Bush and Olmert, are perfect
business-partners, blood-brothers, bed-fellows. Whilst most reluctantly pretending to be seeking
peace, Israel is forever doing all it can to "wipe Palestine off the map" by its illegal settlement
building, those outrageous 'facts on the ground', the legacy of that well-known war criminal,
mass murderer, butcher of Sabra and Shatila, assassin, pathological serial killer, state terrorist:
Ariel Sharon.

Not a word was said about Hamas' pragmatic offer of a long-term truce if Israel withdrew from
ALL the land illegally occupied since 1967. That offer reflects international law AND indicates
that Hamas could possibly, just possibly, consider abandoning the 78 percent of Palestine that
were lost when the state of Israel was created in 1948. Who are the reasonable people here?

Far from it being the case that Hamas is inflexible, it is precisely the other way around:
Israel has no partner for peace because Israel seeks neither a partner nor peace!!!!

The real problem is of course that Israel does not WANT to withdraw and, whilst one can to a
degree understand that, a world which calls itself civilized must FORCE Israel back:
just like Saddam Hussein, after suitable notice was given, and not complied with, was removed
from Kuwait with 'massive military force' authorized by the UNSC and therefore legal, so should
Israel be given notice to quit and, if ignored, be forced out in exactly the same manner.
Can anyone give one single valid reason to treat Israel any differently??

The approx 400,000 illegal israeli settlers, what about them? Not the palestinians' problem -
they have enough problems of their own to last a generation or two.
But, in the real world, what about those settlers? THEY WILL ALL HAVE TO GO!!
They should never have been settled there in the first place and the world could - and SHOULD -
have prevented it but chose in its stupidity and overbearing protection of Israel to let it happen and
even paid for it! And paid for it in more than just one way: financially of course but much more
seriously, paid for it by losing all credibility with the Arab and Muslim worlds which are indisputably
of vastly greater importance to the collective West than tiny Israel and a few million jews and/or
zionists and/or israelis.

Where do we go from here? As I say in AXIS of EVIL elsewhere on this site:
"...without justice for Palestine there simply WILL NOT be peace in that region
...NOR SHOULD THERE BE!!...".

Long live Hamas!! FREE PALESTINE!!

PS to the above:

Did you notice something else? For the first time, as far as I am aware, both the President of
America and the Prime Minister of Israel used the following phrase, both men using it to refer to
America's support for and protection of Israel: "...the Jewish State of Israel...".
I have never heard this before at such a public event, never.

Why was that exact phrase used? And by both of them? Hardly coincidental!!
Very interesting, strange, revealing, sinister, foreboding.....

Was this public confirmation of America's final capitulation to the jews, to zionism and to Israel??
Broadcast to the whole world, as if to remove any lingering doubt, what we watched was
superpower America, personified by its president, yet again humiliated by microscopic Israel.
In complete contradiction of America's national interests!
When will the american people stop this insanity??

In Afghanistan, US airstrikes kill "60 Taliban fighters and 16 civilians":

Over the next few days we may well see the figures corrected from 60 "Taliban fighters" and 16
"Afghan civilians" to maybe 38 fighters and 38 civilians (=76) or maybe 16 fighters and 60 civilians.
OF COURSE the local fighters use local buldings for cover but the Coalition of the Killing is too
cowardly to go on the ground and fight them honestly, instead smashing everything in sight from the
relative safety of attack helicopters or fighter jets and to hell with local women and children.
Have you noticed the striking (no sick pun intended) similarity with Israel's methods?
Only 2 days ago (see below) in Gaza City 2 cars were obliterated with missiles, in one car was
the intended target, an Islamic Jihad "engineer" who was killed instantly, of the family of 5 in the
other car the grandmother, mother and 4 year old son were killed, a 3 year old daughter "survived"
but will be in intensive care forever (shrapnel tore her spinal cord), only the father survived and,
having now buried the family, would himself be better off dead.

How long will the world accept this illegal and barbaric behaviour?
And you wonder why the islamic world hates the West?
Are you still surprised that there are suicide bombers?

Yet again, America and Israel have proven to us all that they are the true AXIS of EVIL...

Rice says: "No Security Guarantee for Iran":

"The U.S. has not offered a guarantee against attacking or undermining Iran's hard-line
government in exchange for having Tehran curtail its nuclear program. Iran is a troublemaker
in the international system, a central banker of terrorism. Security assurances are not on the
table" Rice said.

Do these superstars of demagoguery, like Condi Rice, themselves believe the pathological
nonsense they keep repeating like imbecile parrots? Or have they said it and heard it so many
times that they have been successfully brainwashed? Classic propaganda technique and it may
well work on americans!

Why do civilized nations not speak out immediately and loudly against such insane and
threatening inflammatory statements?

The difference between this and Nejad's expressed intention to "wipe Israel off the map" is HUGE.
Why? Because Iran has attacked nobody whereas the Great Satan has attacked and devastated
Afghanistan and Iraq, and their friends (read: masters) in Israel have already (by their illegal and
barbaric actions, incredibly tolerated and paid for by the West) wiped Palestine off the map.
Who are the terrorists, the rogues, the international troublemakers here? NOT Iran!!

No, I did not watch it, I never do, but I have one question:
Can anyone explain to me on what grounds Israel participates in any contest for European
nations, like this EuroVision Song Contest and also football's UEFA Cup???
Israel never was, is not, and please God never will be a European nation -
so how can they participate?

Five months after the election, a "government" has been formed in Iraq:

Much as I wish the Iraqi people well, I cannot see this government of national "unity" achieving
very much or lasting very long but hopefully I am wrong!

No such doubts from the occupying powers:

GW Bush said he called Pres. Jalal Talabani, PM Nouri al-Maliki and speaker Mahmoud
al-Mashhadani to congratulate them on working together.
"I assured them that the United States will continue to assist Iraqis in the formation of a new
country because I fully understand that a free Iraq will be an important ally in the war on terror,
will serve as a devastating defeat for the terrorists and al-Qaida and will serve as an example
for others in the region who desire to be free."

What obscene shameless demagoguery!!
The constant American use of the words 'free' and 'freedom' is nauseating drivel - if bringing
freedom and democracy had ANY place in American foreign policy, then the US would have
set about "liberating", among others, China, Tibet, North Korea, Burma, Zimbabwe, Uzbekistan
and above all, of course, PALESTINE!!

There he goes again, "the War on Terror". As several sovereign nations have now learnt the
brutal and barbaric way, the current American crusade is, indisputably, a War OF Terror.

How can what is happening in Iraq "serve as a devastating defeat for the terrorists and
al-Qaida" when there is NO evidence that Saddam's Iraq had any such involvements?
The foreign insurgents now in Iraq only went there because of the illegal invasion.

And it "will serve as an example for others in the region who desire to be free". Oh really??
You mean "free" like America which seems destined, condemned, cursed to slavishly do the
bidding of the zionist lobby?? Keep your bloody "freedom" to yourselves and choke on it!!

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Iraq has made "extraordinary progress politically"
by inaugurating the government even though sectarian infighting has stalled the selection of
Cabinet posts for overseeing the army, police forces and national security.
"They want to make sure that they have it right, I think it's quite obvious that when you take
this kind of time, it shows the kind of determination and maturity". Oh really??

What is that horrid black witch babbling about NOW? To everybody else it is quite obvious
that it shows that the different religious and ethnic groups cannot stand each other, cannot
work together, cannot live together.
But I presume that, in the land of Hollywood-make-believe, reality is an unwanted aberration
and instead of listening to what is actually happening in Iraq, they cover their ears to the
screams of the maimed and dying and to the wails of the bereaved.

In the UK, PM Tony Blair hailed it as a government of "genuine national unity", whereas even
to the casual observer it is clearly a most reluctant forced marriage made in hell and divorce
proceedings can be expected any moment.

And it was welcomed by new Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett who said:
"If both Iraq and the international community are to defeat those who advocate violence, the new
Iraqi government is going to have to take tough decisions on building democratic structures,
building up their security forces and developing their economy".

Note those words "...are to defeat those who advocate violence..." - yet again, this nauseating
hypocrisy!! But the West, the UK included, has made the use of violence and state terrorism a
way of life, recent examples: the illegal wars of aggression against Afghanistan and Iraq, two
sovereign nations that were no threat to the West, and of course Israel's decades-long daily
brutalizing of the palestinians whilst doing all they can to physically prevent a viable two-state
solution. When "they" do it, we call it terrorism, which is "bad". When "we" (count me out!) do it,
we call it counter-terrorism, which is "good".

On Israel's airstrike today on Gaza City:

Apparently a missile was fired from an unmanned "drone" aircraft, a technique frequently used
by Israel. Four people were killed and several injured. Only one of those killed was an intended
target, Islamic Jihad's Mohammed al-Dahdouh, one of its "senior engineers involved in weapons
manufacture".

A grandmother, a mother and her four-year-old son were also killed.
Presumably the state-terrorists in Israel will call this operation a success!!

Question: is ANY western leader going to pick up the phone and tell these pathological serial
killers that their barbaric behaviour is totally unacceptable?? Anyone who does not speak out
against atrocities like this is partially guilty!
Every year Israel receives many billions of dollars from many different quarters in direct,
more or less unconditional, aid.
Aid to any other nation has conditions attached to it. Why not Israel? What is so special
about that tiny state which has no resources, natural or human, that the rest of the world
desperately needs? We expect and demand that other nations behave in a civilized manner
but Israel can do whatever it wants AND IT DOES.

Currently many are 'thinking aloud' whether Iran would use oil as a weapon:

Would Iran use oil as a weapon if it served its purposes? Why not? I believe so and I hope so!
Most "westerners" just cannot seem to understand that the reasons why so many nations loathe,
detest, even hate the West are all of the West's own making and it is up to the West to change
its behaviour - but of course that would require both wisdom and humility. Require what?
Yes, both concepts alien to current western society whose "values" are forced upon the rest of
the world. America knows only one thing - power: what it cannot achieve through SOFT Power
(Hollywood, MTV, Coca-Cola, MacDonalds - the first 2 poisoning the world spiritually, the last
2 physically), it attempts to achieve through HARD Power, as seen in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq
(but God forbid NOT Iran), invariably with disastrous results for the victimized countries, the world
in general and for America itself. Rats and other vermin learn from their mistakes but not
Americans - is it really so difficult??

On the publication of the UNs highly critical report about America's treatment of detainees in
the so-called 'War on Terror':

A most encouraging report but will the Great Satan take any notice?
All aspects and areas scrutinized are found badly wanting: the named prison camps that we
know of, the secret ones, the process of extraordinary rendition, interrogation methods, lack of
due process, lack of access to many for the Red Cross etc etc.

Are those detainees really "dangerous enemy combatants" as claimed? We don't know,
none has yet been convicted, only a few charged, many released as "harmless to the USA"
after several years in detention, no charges, no compensation:
what a beacon of civilization America is!!!

11 Sept 2001 was an inside job, leading directly to the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq:
how will America compensate those 2 countries and the tens of thousands who have had
relatives and loved ones blown to bits or permanently maimed? Khomeini was right all those
years ago: America really IS the Great Satan and should be shunned and quarantined by all
decent nations and its leaders should be indicted and tried for war crimes and other crimes
against humanity.
But don't close Guantanamo - release all those currently there (unless proven guilty in a civilian
court), put all the neo-cons in, throw the keys away and leave them to rot!

New italian PM Romano Prodi confirms 'troops out of Iraq':

More bad news for the neo-cons neo-fascists neo-crusaders of America but of course the italian
decision had already been made, perhaps surprisingly, by Berlusconi's government.
It is most reassuring though to hear Prodi describe the Iraq war as "a grave error".
One by one the rats are leaving the sinking 'USS War-of-Terror' destroyer which is good news
for civilized behaviour and the rule of international law.
How long before millions and millions of americans demand THEIR troops home??

A gruesome documentary of 'normal daily work' in a Baghdad hospital
emergency room is now playing in America:

I have always objected strongly to turning destruction and suffering and death into ANY kind
of armchair entertainment, whether fictional or documentary, whether for pure entertainment
or, as hopefully intended here, education. Surely only those desensitized by the tsunami of
precisely those things: destruction, suffering and death, coming out of Hollywood and similar
places can see the "need" for documentaries like this?? For anyone with a degree of
imagination, compassion and empathy left, surely just reading about these matters must be
(more than) enough??

The real questions here are not what happened to a few american state terrorists (soldiers)
but: how will the World demand that America compensates Afghanistan and Iraq generally
and the tens of thousands who have had their relatives and loved ones blown to bits or maimed
for life in particular?? Why?? Because both these wars are quite obviously illegal wars of
aggression against sovereign nations which were no threat to America.

America: out of Afghanistan, out of Iraq, hands off Iran!!

On the 40th anniversary of the start of the Cultural Revolution in Communist China:

Much has been said and written in recent years about the intolerance and inflexibility
shown by fundamentalists of the major religions, in particular we are bombarded almost
daily with the latest "proofs" of just how alien and incompatible Islam is with so-called
"western values". How timely then to have this anniversary now: absolutely clear and
irrefutable proof, if any were needed, that lack of the most basic personal freedoms has
nothing to do with religion - as we all know, true communists are self-confessed atheists.
So the problem is totalitarianism, in whichever form and shape.

The Cultural Revolution, instigated and whipped up by Chairman Mao, probably got out of
control and intended scope and, like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, became a ghastly monster
of upheaval on an unimaginable scale, leaving few families in all of China unaffected.
All in order to preserve and prolong the nightmare rule of a tiny clique controlled by Mao,
repeating the timeless obscenities about "government for the people and by the people"
so long that nobody dared contradict the absolute ruler.
Whenever we talk of Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler and the horrors they perpetrated,
we should also include Mao Zedong. And of course the latest willing applicant for that
exclusive rogue's gallery: George Walker Bush.

For me, if it were a straight choice between Mao's China and Taliban Afghanistan, I would be
off to Kabul and not to Beijing for the simple reason that there is deep spirituality involved on
one side and none on the other.

Somali-born Dutch MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali has resigned from parliament and is to leave
the Netherlands after revelations that her asylum application in 1992 was falsified:

No tears from me! I have long found her irrational hatred of Islam unbearable and will not
miss her. Now at least we know one reason why she has such problems with Islam:
good Muslims don't tell lies! If indeed, as reported, she intends to go to America and gets
a job at that very conservative think-tank, the American Enterprise Institute, she will be in
suitable company and will get all the encouragement she craves to pursue her pathological
version of islamophobia.

I find it perplexing that 'Time' magazine has named her "one of the most influential thinkers
of our time" and wonder on exactly what grounds that judgment was made.

The EU will provide a list of "incentives" to Iran:

Although I do wish that sometimes Nejad would tone down the rhetoric a little (and so should
of course America!), I must say that I like him more and more. Don't underestimate this man,
he is intelligent, educated, articulate and increasingly he manages to make the US leaders
look like the bunch of fascist clowns they are.

About these "new EU incentives": Iran should flatly reject them. Any deal which does not permit
Iran to be in control of its own nuclear fuel cycle is a joke, an insult, a childish and naive attempt
at persuasion which is doomed to failure, as would be any offer of -literally- a watered-down
version by suggesting a light-water as opposed to a heavy-water reactor.
Likewise any possible "security guarantees" which may be offered down the line, forget them,
reject them. The collective West is proving time and time again that it cannot be trusted, that it
cares nothing about international law and solemn agreements thus, by its actions, making it clear
to nations like Iran that the ONLY responsible way is to rely on yourself, indeed by those same
actions the West is further legitimizing an already legitimate quest.

Keep your chin up Nejad and keep teasing the Great Satan!

On reading an article on the alJazeera website about the estimated true casualty figures
for American and British soldiers in Iraq (alarmingly higher than the "official" ones):

Whilst wishing nobody dead (well, with a few exceptions!), this article, if reflecting actual facts
and statistics, is good news so long as it reaches the masses, especially in the US and the UK.
There are certain hopeful signs that in America at least enough people are now rejecting the
neo-cons neo-fascists neo-crusaders and their outrageous behaviour and their perverse view
of the world, enough to hopefully soon reach a 'critical mass' which simply DEMANDS the
resignation and prosecution of the bunch of war criminals who have made America hated and
despised throughout the world.
Good and decent Americans, go on, you CAN do it!!
Coalition of the Killing: out of Iraq, out of Afghanistan and HANDS OFF IRAN!!

The Israeli High Court has upheld the Unification Law (which restricts the rights
of palestinians to live in Israel with their arab-israeli spouses and children):

This is further confirmation of what we already know but, coming from the High Court,
it could not possibly be more official or more embarrassing: that the state of Israel is indeed
based on xenophobia, racism, ethnic cleansing, exclusivity, 'apartheid' and a class system,
but as always masquerading behind that obscene standard phrase 'national security'.
No doubt the "civilized world" will just swallow it as it always does when confronted with the
illegality and barbarity of Israel.

Think about it: the very concept of a "homeland" for a specific group of people runs completely
against all modern ideas and trends, it represents a desperately anachronistic view of the world,
a view which maybe once had its time and place but one that today is hopelessly outdated,
outlived, outlandish!

Also, ironically and perversely, the kind of mindset and ideology of superiority displayed by the
zionists perfectly mirrors the 'Aryan Master Race' concept of Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany -
surely that should be sufficient to make all decent jews cringe with shame!

In the longer term of course, biology will be the biggest problem for the wished-for and sought-
after "purity" of the Jewish State: arab-israelis already make up about 18% of the population
and that figure is rising rapidly. What will the zionists do about THAT??!!

Maybe encourage jewish-israeli couples to have more children, through financial incentives/
penalties set so high that they cannot refuse?
If that still did not work, would they force them to have children, reminiscent of the Nazis' primitive
'selective breeding programmes' ("One year from now, you 2 will have produced a baby, or else-"?)
Or maybe forcibly import ethnic jews from other parts of the world against their wishes?

Or maybe accuse arab-israelis of 'biological warfare' and execute them for high treason for
endangering the very survival of the jewish state of Israel?

Don't rule anything out, however disingenuous or paranoid!!
Agreed, arab-israelis do of course owe allegiance to Israel but limited to precisely that and NOT
to the JEWISH state of Israel.

PS: The only mitigating factor was that, like everything else in Israel, the judges were split down
the middle 6:5. Not much comfort for decent Israelis though, whether jewish or arab.

elections that unless they vow to pull the troops home and refrain from future wars of
aggression, they will NOT vote for them:

Cindy, I wish you all the best and sincerely hope that millions of Americans will see the light
that you are showing them so tirelessly. I have read many of your articles elsewhere and I
think you are a very brave person. How good it would be for the world if America could
become a civilized nation!! Keep up the good work Cindy and sanity just might win!!

On the lack of Emergency Aid for Palestine:

I have said it before: As a citizen of the European Union I am ashamed that there can be ANY
question about providing at least immediate and adequate humanitarian assistance to all
Palestinians. To hell with what America and the Zionists say, they are those responsible for
the desperate plight in the illegally and barbarically occupied territories.
How can Arab banks justify not helping, out of fear of American sanctions? Who needs
America anyway? How many attacks against Israel would there be if it withdrew to its 1967
borders? Why does the West insist that Hamas, fairly elected, absolute majority, should
honour the Road Map signed by Abbas when Israel, having signed it most reluctantly and with
a long list of reservations, is desecrating that Road Map in almost everything it does?
How can the Islamic world take the West seriously when all its actions are nauseatingly
hypocritical? Are you really still surprised that there are suicide bombers? FREE PALESTINE!!

On the continued stand-off over Iran's nuclear programme:

Of course the crusade against Iran is NOT primarily about nuclear issues -or there would be
similar worries expressed over India, Pakistan and of course Israel- but about geopolitical
power-games. I wonder what it feels like to be an American these days: a citizen of a nation
that pursues its primitive goals with a pathological brutality not seen since Joseph Stalin and
Adolf Hitler AND attempts to cover it all up in pathetic romantic drivel about "spreading democracy
and liberating peoples and nations". Apparently, there are still Americans who believe this!!
How sick can you get? How long before tens of millions of decent Americans (for I am sure
they do exist) take to the streets to demand an end to the lies and illegal behaviour of their
nation which should be a great one??

Remember that GWB, in a reference to Clinton-Lewinsky, promised before elected in 2000 to
"restore the honour to the White House". EXCUSE ME!!
How are the impeachment proceedings going??!!

The Quartet has agreed on a mechanism for sending aid to Palestine:

What the hell is that horrid black witch Condi Rice babbling about here, that "ultimately the
resolution to this is a Palestinian government that accepts its responsibility for governing"??

When elected a few weeks ago, Hamas had no experience of senior government but so far
they have done admirably well under impossible circumstances, maintaining their dignity and
crystal-clear vision that peace is well within reach but naturally ONLY peace with justice and
THAT is the problem because the very concept of justice is alien and unacceptable to the
state-terrorism of Israel.

In past years Hamas has done wonderful work for their people, providing basic medical and
educational facilities, as well as offering heroic resistance of course. If the West will not help
for sick ideological reasons or out of impotent compliance with zionist dictates, at the very
least it should stop threatening Arab banks with punitive measures were they to channel
Arab aid money to the PA.
